About Party Rentals of Nova
Party Rentals of Nova was started in 2018 by Jason Pilcher and Donnie Helmick. They have known each other since 2004 and in fact, previously worked in a car dealership together for 7 years! Even though they stopped working together in the dealership, they maintained close contact over the years.
In 2007 Donnie had started another local party rental company, with a different partner and it was quite successful. In fact, it became so successful that a decision needed to be made on whether to expand, or sell the business. Unfortunately, they made the decision to sell the business, as the financial contribution to expand further was too much at the time.
In 2017, Jason and Donnie started talking about the possibility of starting another rental company. After multiple discussions about the business, they decided to form Party Rentals of Nova in January of 2018. The next several months were spent acquiring inventory, supplies, tools, etc. All the things that were necessary to start operations. Although Party Rentals of Nova started with a somewhat limited inventory, it is larger and more diverse than the previous company was at the time Donnie sold it. In addition, Party Rentals of Nova has plans to expand the rental offerings as time progresses. The company and founding partners hold to a few core philosophies when it comes to business; these are safety, service, and pricing.
Safety is our top priority, as it should be. We have kids of our own, and believe that a party should be exactly that, a party. We do everything we can to ensure a safe rental, including 2″ thick safety mats placed in front of the entrance/exit of our bounce house rentals and combo rentals. Although every company should do this, not all of them actually fulfill this task. We set up our inflatable rentals as per manufacturer recommendations regardless of whether the set up is on grass or a hard surface. Additionally, if your rental is outdoors and includes an inflatable, we provide a wind speed gauge to allow you to accurately read wind speeds. This takes the guessing out of how hard the wind is blowing and ensures you keep your guests safe. We review all the safety instructions and leave you with a copy for reference as well. And of course, if there’s a problem, we’re available to resolve it.
Our service is friendly and helpful. We will do everything we can to accommodate your wants and needs for your event rentals. We keep a close eye on weather and inform you if there may be issues preventing your rental. Although your rental is set between certain time frames, we will be at your venue a minimum of 40 minutes prior to the rental start time for set up. For some rentals, it may be several hours prior. In other words, if you rent a tent and a water slide from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m., we will be there 2 hours early so we can be sure we get everything done prior to the actual rental start time. We do this because if you are paying for 8 hours, you will get at least that. If your rental was scheduled as previously stated, from 10-6, and we arrived at 9:30, that would take away from your usable time. You are busy and have other things to do, especially on the actual day of the party so we’ll be in well before guests start arriving.
Our pricing is structured for flexibility. We understand that your party may be only a couple of hours, but it may go all day as well. For this reason, we have a tiered pricing structure to accommodate your time-frames and budget. Why pay for a 6 hour rental if you’re only going to use it for 4? Or why pay for a 10 hour rental if you’re going to use it for 6? Our daily rental pricing is very competitive, but if you only need a rental for a few hours, you’re going to save more with Party Rentals of Nova. We do still offer discounts for multiple rentals, on top of the usual pricing structure. Need a combo rental, moonbounce, and a tent? No problem! Call us and we’ll tell you what we can do for you. Need a dunk tank, a water slide, and a snow cone machine? Call us and we’ll work it all out with you.
Another priority of ours is giving to charity, which is why a portion of every rental goes to various charities including Wounded Warrior Project and Children’s National Medical Center. Up to 5% of our annual revenue will be donated between these charities.
We have chosen these two charities for two simple reasons. Without our Military, none of us would be afforded the opportunities to do what we do. It is the least we can do to give to those whom have sacrificed so much for the safety and security of all of us. Wounded Warrior Project is dedicated to helping those men and women who have made those selfless sacrifices.
Children are a large portion of why we have business. This is why Children’s National Medical Center is another charity we donate to. There are some, less fortunate than others, who cannot afford the medical care needed by their children. It is the least we at Party Rentals of Nova can do, to donate to a top quality medical center that is dedicated to helping children, regardless of their parents’ financial status.
